Overall, the MAF conversion cured my "slightly" rich idle and helped top end
power a little due to it running a little richer
up top, but that could of been taken care of had I used a cam with just a tad less duration on the exhaust side to pass Calif smog limits.
Had I lived in a state with NO smog, I would of left it SD as the car ran terrific. I did lose a little throttle response off idle, but
not enough to make much of a difference, but once tuned via a custom chip, now there is a very noticeable power difference.

Below is my 1972 Mustang Mach 1 "Q" Code, (the most Intimidating one). Powered by a 4 bolt main 351cj block, 69 Boss 302 Heads. The motor pic below has 11.7 comp, Weined tunnel ram with 2 tweaked out 465 CFM Holley Carbs topped off with a Bug catcher Scoop, 488 Gears in a 9" Detroit Locker rear, Fully Manual C-6 w/4000 stall converter and a .657/.657 " solid lifter cam plus a few other goodies.

(I sure miss this one). It was powered by a 71 Boss 351 block, 69 Boss 302 heads, 12.5 comp, Holley strip dominator, .580/.602" solid lifter cam, modified Holley 800DP, hooker super comp headers, .750" port plates, Detroit locker w\4.57 gears, full race prepped art car C-6 w/4000 stall converter, and much more.
